Dear reader(s?), in future I will write this blog directly to 7inchpunk.com. Why? Simple reasons: there these fine tunes will have much bigger audience and in my opinion it is great to collect as much in one place as possible. Finnishobscurity.blogspot.com will however be updated once in a while, mainly giving link to posts I write to 7inchpunk.com.

Nothing is going to end or fade away, so consider this as a real start for this blog!

SOS: Kaupungin kadut 7"

SOS made two 7" records, first one was selfreleased and is much more rare than second. Both singles came out 1980. Second record came from corporate label [Tahdon olla vapaa / Idiootit vauhdissa (Kräk! Finnlevy) KRÄKS 17] as well as compilation Asfalttidisco LP where SOS has same songs as in second single.

A little is known about this band. This is again bands only release, 200 copies were pressed in 1980, selfreleased. No sleeve scans yet, just music.

For foreign readers; Lapsuuden loppu = End of childhood, Tämän yön on tää kylä meidän = For this night is this town ours, Ruumis tiellä = Body on the road.

"Tämän yön on tää kylä meidän" was comped on Bloodstains Across Finland LP.

Kasvain was from Helsinki and published themselves only one 7". Every record has different sleeves, because they were handcrafted!

This record is their only record ever. They have allthough songs in two compilations, one song in "3 vuotta myöhemmin" LP and two songs in "Asfalttidisco" LP, both released 1980.
